Applications would be processed for the issuance of visas when all requirements have been fulfilled. A minimum of three (3) working days is required for the processing of visa applications. The processing period does not include Fridays and holidays. Applicants are, therefore, required to deposit their passports, together with the completed visa application forms, with the supporting documents well ahead of the time of proposed date of travel, to avoid possible delays.

Multiple entry visas are endorsed for either three months, six (6) months or one year. This means the applicant is granted unlimited entries into Ghana within the stipulated period from the date of issue of the visa. It does not entitle the applicant to enter and remain in Ghana for the entire duration of the visa. On each entry into Ghana, the period of permitted stay will be endorsed by the Ghana Immigration Service at the point of entry, usually for sixty (60) days.

Visa applications by courier will be accepted and processed. It is the responsibility of applicants to make arrangements for the collection of their passports preferably by courier.
